Norwalk restaurant Josie & Tony's is taking the stress out of decision making with a twist by offering a four-course meal, off the menu experience that tells guests to "Shut Up and Eat."
"It's kind of fits my personality," said owner Josh Mesnik. "We're going to feed you, we're going to give you a deal, we're going to give you an experience and put yourself in our hands."
Guest let their server know they'd like to try the "Shut Up and Eat" menu. From there, they disclose the dietary restrictions.
"After that, there are no other choices," Mesnik explained. "You sit back and shut up and eat."
The four-course meal includes an appetizer, antipasti, pasta, entrée and dessert — served family-style for $40 per person.
The experience is offered on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
Josie & Tony’s is named after Mesnik’s grandparents.
“It’s important for me to support my community,” Mesnik said.
The restaurant is hosting The Lights of Broadway Gala to benefit Norwalk’s Triangle Community Center on Thursday, May 29.
The Triangle Community Center provides lifesaving resources to members of the LGBTQ community in Fairfield County.
More information about the gala can be found here.
