A crash Saturday night on the Long Island Expressway in Manorville left two people dead, according to police.

Authorities say a car was driving eastbound just after 10 p.m. near Exit 70 when it left the roadway, crashed into the woods and caught fire.

The driver was ejected from the car and pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger was also found dead inside the car.
